Delete your account & data

You can permanently delete your Live Watch Stock account and everything in it at any time, with no charge. This is your right to erasure under UK GDPR. This page explains how to request it, exactly what gets deleted, and the timeline.

The short version: ask us to delete, and your subscription is set to cancel at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep access until then, a 7-day safety window follows so a mistake can be undone, and after that your server and everything on it is permanently erased. Backups expire automatically within 30 days: after which nothing about you remains anywhere. We never sell, share, or reuse any of it. Want it gone sooner? Ask us and we will erase within 30 days of your request.

How to request deletion

There are two ways, and either one permanently deletes your account and everything in it:

In the app (recommended). Open Live Watch Stock, go to Account & Billing → Delete account, read what will be removed, tick the confirmation box and re-enter your password to confirm it's you, then tap Delete account.
By email. Email support@livewatchstock.com from your account's email address and ask us to delete your account. We'll verify it's you and process the deletion.

Deleting your account also cancels your subscription: you won't be billed again.

What gets deleted: everything

Live Watch Stock gives every customer their own private, dedicated server: your captured posts are never shown to another customer and are never sold to anyone. When you delete your account, that entire server and everything on it is decommissioned and erased, including:

Your dedicated server and its database.
All captured listings and messages from your WhatsApp groups (references, prices, years, conditions, and the seller names and numbers within them).
All photos and videos (held in encrypted media storage).
Your saved searches, saved sellers, drafts and settings.
Your account record and login credentials.
Your disaster-recovery backups, which then expire on the timeline below.

Nothing is held back, archived, anonymised-and-kept, or moved elsewhere. Erasure means erasure.

Timeline

Deletion is deliberately not instant: you keep the access you have already paid for, and a mistaken tap stays recoverable.

When you ask: your subscription is set to cancel at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Nothing is deleted yet and you keep full access until then.
When that period ends: a 7-day safety window begins, so an accidental or regretted deletion can still be undone. Tell us in the app or by email and everything stays exactly as it was.
After the safety window: your dedicated server, its database and disk, your subdomain and every photo in media storage are permanently deleted and your storage keys are revoked. From that point your data is no longer accessible to anyone, including us. This is done by a person, not automatically, and always within 30 days of your request, which is the limit UK GDPR sets. In practice it is usually the same week. Ask us at any point and we will tell you exactly where your deletion has got to.
Then within 30 days: the disaster-recovery backups: the only copies that persist, written under a 14-day lock we cannot override, expire automatically and are securely destroyed. They are never restored or read for any other purpose. After that, nothing about you remains anywhere: not on our servers, not in media storage, not in backups.

Want it gone sooner? You do not have to wait for your billing period to end. Email support@livewatchstock.com from your account's email address and ask us to erase straight away, we will start the teardown and complete your erasure within 30 days of your request, as UK GDPR requires.

Deleting individual listings

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. Because the captured archive is yours, you can delete any individual listing (including a seller's details or photos) from inside the app at any time. This is also how you'd action a request if a seller asks you to erase their information.

Backups, explained

We keep backups purely so we can recover your own service after a hardware failure: never to mine, share, or repurpose your data. After deletion these backups simply roll off and expire within 30 days, then are securely and permanently destroyed. They are never restored, reused, shared, or accessed for any other purpose.

Questions or proof of deletion
