Delete your account & data

You can permanently delete your Live Watch Stock account and everything in it at any time, with no charge. This is your right to erasure under UK GDPR — and we guarantee it's complete within 30 days, with the live data gone immediately. This page explains how to request it, exactly what gets deleted, and the timeline.

The short version: ask us to delete, and your live server is wiped immediately. The only thing left is rolling encrypted backups, which expire automatically within 30 days — after which nothing about you remains anywhere. We never sell, share, or reuse any of it.

How to request deletion

There are two ways — either one permanently deletes your account and everything in it:

In the app (recommended). Open Live Watch Stock, go to Account & Billing → Delete account, read what will be removed, tick the confirmation box and re-enter your password to confirm it's you, then tap Delete account.
By email. Email support@livewatchstock.com from your account's email address and ask us to delete your account. We'll verify it's you and process the deletion.

Deleting your account also cancels your subscription — you won't be billed again.

What gets deleted — everything

Live Watch Stock gives every customer their own private, dedicated server — your data is never pooled with, shared with, or sold to anyone. When you delete your account, that entire server and everything on it is decommissioned and erased, including:

Your dedicated server and its database.
All captured listings and messages from your WhatsApp groups (references, prices, years, conditions, and the seller names and numbers within them).
All photos and videos (held in encrypted media storage).
Your saved searches, saved sellers, drafts and settings.
Your account record and login credentials.
Your encrypted disaster-recovery backups, which then expire on the timeline below.

Nothing is held back, archived, anonymised-and-kept, or moved elsewhere. Erasure means erasure.

Timeline — guaranteed within 30 days

Immediately on request: your subscription is cancelled and your live server is wiped — the database and media are decommissioned and your data is no longer accessible to anyone, including us.
Within 30 days: the rolling encrypted disaster-recovery backups — the only copies that briefly persist — expire automatically and are securely destroyed. These backups are never restored or read for any other purpose.
After 30 days: nothing about you remains anywhere — not on our servers, not in media storage, not in backups. This is our guaranteed right-to-erasure SLA.

Deleting individual listings

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. Because the captured archive is yours, you can delete any individual listing — including a seller's details or photos — from inside the app at any time. This is also how you'd action a request if a seller asks you to erase their information.

Backups, explained

We keep encrypted backups purely so we can recover your own service after a hardware failure — never to mine, share, or repurpose your data. After deletion these backups simply roll off and expire within 30 days, then are securely and permanently destroyed. They are never restored, reused, shared, or accessed for any other purpose.

Questions or proof of deletion
